She explains how what you think and believe about money affects your ability to have it. Her insights are invaluable, and this is a must-read for anyone who wants to change their money mindset.
Cultural Nuances: The Role of Traditions and Value
The existing evidence consistently documents that, to the extent that people and cultures prioritize materialistic values and goals, they will almost certainly undermine the well-being of others and the planet. But, the same evidence also shows that when people are exposed to interventions that promote intrinsic values and spirituality they tend to reduce materialism, even if they have similar economic circumstances.
Individuals express culture in their own unique way. For example, while it’s easy to stereotype people from European backgrounds as being punctual, the same cannot be said for those from Native American backgrounds who see promptness as a sign of disrespect.

Financial Landscapes: Regional Challenges & Opportunities
The changing financial landscapes make the path to wealth even more difficult. Globalisation, digitisation and intense geopolitical rivalry are disrupting traditional banking, credit markets and wealth building. Meanwhile, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs) and big tech are expanding their reach and impact.
In this context, a new perspective is required to understand the dynamics of development in a landscape increasingly dominated by financial capital. This article argues in favor of a landscape finance approach that draws from the literature on rural debt relationships and highlights multiple sources of funding and investment for landscapes. This approach does no demarcate analytic boundaries between consumer and productive debts. It focuses on the ways rural savers and borrowers, as well as lenders, juggle debts for social reproduction and productive purposes.

The Global Classroom: Myron’s Initiatives for Incl
The Global Classroom is an initiative to promote global learning that aims at providing students and educators with new pedagogy that encourages cross-disciplinary cooperation. It was first introduced at the Earth Institute, Columbia University in 2008 by members of a MacArthur Foundation-supported International Commission on Education for Sustainable Development Practice.
The goal is to teach students about the issues that are affecting us all, whether it’s climate change, global famine or the need for advancement in medicine. It also encourages students to forge careers that address these problems, taking a collaborative instead of competitive approach to problem solving.
GC courses are co-developed and co-taught with instructors and students from internationally-based institutions. This unique pedagogy can be used for undergraduate and graduate courses. It can take the form of class-to-class virtual exchanges, individual student virtual exchanges or virtual guest lectures by faculty members. Students develop a deeper level of cultural understanding, global self-awareness and social responsibility as they engage with contemporary global challenges in dynamic and meaningful ways.
The Mind Over Money Mastery
Money can’t buy happiness, but money can help you afford the things that give you comfort, freedom, and a feeling of accomplishment. One of our first clients, Ronnette Ballard, broke a generational curse by becoming the first in her family to own a home. She credits her success to one-on-one coaching sessions and her budgeting skills.
Your perceptions of money play a major role in how much you earn and what you do with it. When your emotions polarize the subcortical amygdala, you are likely to respond with short-term thinking that can lead to overspending and running extrinsically from your wealth instead of intrinsically building it from within.
Identifying your core beliefs about money can help you create new patterns that align with your long-term financial goals. You can learn to control your emotions and cultivate a mindful approach to spending by using the tools and strategies of Mind Over Money Mastery. Click here to learn more about this program.
