Cultural Nuances – Traditions and Values as Influences
Existing evidence shows that, in the event that people and cultures place a high priority on materialistic values and goals they will almost certainly harm the well-being and sustainability of the planet and others. The same evidence shows that people who are exposed to interventions promoting intrinsic values and spirituality tend to reduce their materialism, regardless of whether they have similar economic circumstances.
Moreover, individuals express culture in unique ways. For example, while it’s easy to stereotype people from European backgrounds as being punctual, the same cannot be said for those from Native American backgrounds who see promptness as a sign of disrespect.

Financial Landscapes: Regional Challenges and Oppo
The changing financial landscapes make the path to wealth even more difficult. Globalisation, digitisation and intense geopolitical rivalry are disrupting traditional banking, credit markets and wealth building. Non-bank financial institutes (NBFIs), as well as big tech, are expanding their impact.
In this context, a new perspective is required to understand the dynamics of development in a landscape increasingly dominated by financial capital. This article argues in favor of a landscape finance approach that draws from the literature on rural debt relationships and highlights multiple sources of funding and investment for landscapes. This approach does not demarcate analytical boundaries between productive and consumer debts. It focuses on the ways rural savers and borrowers, as well as lenders, juggle debts for social reproduction and productive purposes.

The Global Classroom: Myron’s Initiatives for Incl
The Global Classroom is a global learning initiative that aims to provide students and educators with a new type of pedagogy that fosters cross-disciplinary collaboration. The Global Classroom was introduced for the first time at Columbia University’s Earth Institute in 2008 by members from a MacArthur Foundation supported International Commission on Education for Sustainable Development Practice.
It is important to educate students about issues that affect us all, such as climate change, global hunger, or the need for medical advancement. It encourages students to pursue careers that address these issues, using a collaborative approach to problem-solving instead of a competitive one.
GC courses are co-developed and co-taught with instructors and students from internationally-based institutions. This unique pedagogy is offered for courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. It can take the form of class-to-class virtual exchanges, individual student virtual exchanges or virtual guest lectures by faculty members. Students develop a deeper level of cultural understanding, global self-awareness and social responsibility as they engage with contemporary global challenges in dynamic and meaningful ways.
About Mind Over Money Mastery
Money may not buy happiness, but it can provide the ability to afford the things that bring comfort, freedom and a sense of accomplishment. Ronnette Ballard was our first client and broke a family curse by becoming the 1st in her family to buy a house. She credits her success to one-on-one coaching sessions and her budgeting skills.
Your perceptions of money play a major role in how much you earn and what you do with it. When your emotions polarize the subcortical amygdala, you are likely to respond with short-term thinking that can lead to overspending and running extrinsically from your wealth instead of intrinsically building it from within.
Identifying the core beliefs you hold about money can help create new patterns in your spending that are aligned with your long-term goals. You can learn to control your emotions and cultivate a mindful approach to spending by using the tools and strategies of Mind Over Money Mastery. To learn more about the program, click here.
